Bilge IQ – Bilge Pump Monitor & Controller

Winner of the DAME Environmental Award, the marine industry’s most prestigious award, Bilge IQ is a smart bilge pump monitor that transforms a standard bilge pump into a fully connected, intelligent safety system. By combining NMEA 2000 integration and built-in Wi-Fi, Bilge iQ allows boat owners to monitor, control and analyse their bilge pump performance in real time, giving unprecedented visibility into one of the most critical onboard systems.

Bilge pumps are often “fit and forget” devices, yet they are relied upon in emergencies when it matters most. Bilge iQ changes this by providing live operational data, detailed history logs and smart fault detection, helping owners identify developing problems long before they become serious. As a bilge pump monitor, the system gives continuous insight into pump activity, electrical current draw, run duration and fault conditions through a connected multifunction display or any phone, tablet or laptop, ensuring the bilge system is always working as intended.

Bilge iQ connects directly to a boat’s NMEA 2000 network allowing the bilge pump to be monitored and controlled directly from compatible multifunction displays.

Pump status, activity and fault conditions are shown clearly on the MFD, and important events trigger on-screen alert pop-ups (check for model compatibility), ensuring the crew is immediately informed of any issues and can take action quickly, even when away from the bilge area.

These alerts are displayed directly on MFDs and can include warnings for bilge pump running, pump running dry, pump not running when the float switch is activated, float switch failure, high water detected at a secondary float switch, as well as high current draw and low voltage conditions, ensuring complete awareness of pump performance and potential issues at all times.

Bilge iQ can also connect to Victron Cerbo GX systems via NMEA 2000, enabling full bilge pump monitor and control through a dedicated user interface within the Cerbo GX operating system. This integration allows Bilge iQ to take advantage of Victron’s GX ecosystem and the Victron Remote Monitoring (VRM) platform, providing pump status updates and alerts even when you are off the boat.

An additional input on Bilge iQ supports a secondary float switch that can be used as a high-water alarm, generating extra alerts across the boat’s NMEA 2000 network. Pump activity and high-water warnings can also trigger SMS notifications when used with Digital Yacht’s 4G and 5G Xtream, delivering reliable remote monitoring and control wherever your boat is located.

Bilge iQ features a built-in web interface that allows a phone, tablet or PC to connect for full control and monitoring. Users can view detailed historical analysis of pump running time and frequency, making it easy to identify developing pump or leak problems and to optimise filter replacement intervals on bilge discharge systems.

The pump can be controlled from the wireless display, a manual switch or a compatible multifunction display, while real-time current consumption monitoring confirms correct operation and provides instant reassurance that the system is working as intended.
